• About the photography

  The photographs were taken either by myself or my father, Erol Üner. Mine come from every continent except Antarctica (though there are a couple from south of the Antarctic Circle). My father's, mostly black and whites such as the dramatic chess portrait of his friend, are from a collection of some of his personal favorites.

  All the photos are cropped into sections, filtered, or otherwise modified for reduced size, to remove context such as vehicle markings or serial numbers, or to protect the originals from online distribution. If you want to use one of the full photographs, or have questions on how and where I took them, please contact me.

  Small icons are made by me or else used under a proper license. The site does not use any non-system fonts or other graphics resources.

• Site template There is no template, no framework, no JS API, no nothing. This is artisanally hand-crafted HTML and Python, the later using only basic os and cgi packages. I used DuckDuckGo's Duck.ai to consolidate the CSS and debug my Javascript, Sublime Text to edit the HTML and Python, and Pixelmator for image editing.

• Use of Chrome and Chrome-based browsers Due to the high risk of fraud and the high-fidelity data collection by Chrome and browsers based on Chrome, no logins are permitted where the site detects such browsers. Please use a different browser or tool to access your authorized content.
• Use of information Since we do not collect data ourselves, we do not use it for marketing or resale. Third parties may use automatically collected data for site functionality, performance measurement, or fraud prevention.

• Cookies & tracking We do not set cookies ourselves. Third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies. This site will not track you or store any information beyond access credentials and certain content shared with or by you explicitly.
